(It's absolutely the most satisfying build in the game to actually play once you learn it.) Sharpshooter also doesn't share Gunslinger's inherent movement speed, which means that rather than using it to escape from bad spots, you just have to avoid getting into bad situations to begin with by playing well. Sharpshooters can run either LLLLL with the Railgun/M99 to be a strictly anti-HVT build (trivializes big Zeds but requires teammates to keep trash off you) or a slightly more mobile generalist (Marksman builds with M14) that can kill basically everything and inflict CC but are probably the hardest perk to play well. Consider it a balancing factor for how powerful Slinger already is. That, plus they largely lack the CC potential that Sharps have the Nail Bomb got buffed recently to be a practically guaranteed stun but it still requires you to land the clunkiest grenade in the game. Having said that, they're different from Sharps in that they only really have one build that's good. It's a more "solo-friendly" class than Sharpshooter but that doesn't necessarily make it better they still serve different roles in the team. There is a common misconception that Gunslinger is inherently "better" than Sharps to most, given that what draws many players to Gunslinger is their runspeed, often abused to get out of bad situations instead of using their staggering damage to kill things before it becomes an issue.
